We have 6 axes robot Fanuc LR Mate iC - I found in datasheet information about motion ranges, but I want to be sure - if there is information that J1 motion range degrees is I should set on TP lower limit and the upper limitam I right? Is there a possibility to set up pop up screen, which would inform user that he is going to approach the limit before the robot cross the limit and stop with this alarm? On every Fanuc robot I have ever worked on it won't allow you to enter a number that is beyond the max motion range of the robot, and if you try it will have a pop-up window that will tell you the maximum limit. I think that it was the factory settings. Oh you're right guys I know that the limits should be different, but I am not the person who setted it up.

You will need to cycle power on the controller again for the changes to take effect. Read More Articlesĭo as the others have said and check what your axis limits should be set at and change them. The first few times can be a pain in the butt but once you're familiar with it shouldn't be too bad. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes for you. You got the OVC alarm probably because your axis limits aren't properly set up so instead of hitting a soft limit which is easy to recover from you hit a hard limit giving the robot the OVC alarm. Axis 5 can not move that much! You shouldn't allow the robot to move that much the wrist can crash with the forearm.ĭo this with the controller on. The search feature can be a real life saver in here. Can someone help me with this issue? Actually in the post right below yours.

Now the limits on each axis are lower deg and upper deg.

After few hours I managed to fix it, but it was more luck than skills, and I don't want it to repeat. Hello, I want to know what should be axes limits to be sure, that robot won't get in any inappropriate position.
